I thought I knew what I was getting into when I married my sailor. At my bridal shower I was asked how I would handle months and months of deployment. I joked, and somewhat confidently said, "After 40+ years of singlehood, six months of deployment will be a walk in the park!" Go ahead...laugh! I was an idiot...but it is so worth it.
